Awards include a commission from NewarkArts, Newark, NJ; a Writers and Illustrators Grant from Highlights Foundation,Boyds Mills, PA; and a grant to study Africana Traditions in the Southfrom the Arts and Humanities Council of Tulsa, OK. She has exhibited ingroup and solo exhibitions and has worked with community arts groups, servingas a curator officer and board member for over two decades. Her artwork can befound in private and public collections, including Novartis, Atlantic HealthBreast Centers at Morristown and Summit, NJ; Mahn Center Archives & SpecialCollections, Ohio State University Athens, Athens, OH; and in the home ofAmerican music arranger/pianist Nat (and Angela) Adderley, Jr.
